HeartSine 300P AED Failures (serial numbers 09A-XXXXXXXX)

We are hearing from a number of our clients that HeartSine 300P AEDs manufactured in 2009 (09A- serial numbers) have been failing.  As of 2025, these AEDs are16 years old--- a long time for any piece of electronic equipment to last.

The way they are failing is as follows:  an internal error makes the AED self-start, then shut off and then some time later, repeat.  This fills up the internal memory and you may hear "memory full" and/or see a red blinking light (a green light is good).

If your 09A HeartSine 300P is still flashing green, great but it may be time to get a new battery/pad pack.  If this is the case, it is OK to order a new battery/pad pack but please keep an eye weekly on the AED to make sure it is operating properly.  If if starts to say "memory full", self start, beep or the light blinks red, take the battery out and keep it with the AED in case of an emergency.  As long as the battery has not become too depleted, we can sell you a new AED at a discount, less the price of the battery/pad pack you had purchased.
