Training

Core Medical is the Tri-State choice for training

At Core, we teach “If you see something do something™.  While New York City says “if you see something, say something”, at Core our training has already resulted in thirteen (as of May 2015) of our students going to the aid of a patient.  When our students saw a medical problem, they acted to help the patient.  Our thanks to them for getting involved and a job well done.

Our non-threatening classes motivate students to do something in an emergency and because the classes are meaningful and fun, students pay attention.  When was the last time you could say that about a CPR/AED class?  And we continually hear back from our students how much they liked the classes…see our ‘Testimonials’ below.

We offer classes in:

  • CPR/AED Pro and CPR/AED Community and Workplace
  • First aid
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Wilderness First Aid
  • Pet First Aid
  • Babysitting
  • and more

We teach in American Heart Association, American Red Cross and American Safety and Health Institute protocols.  Our courses motivate students to learn their protocols and to act and students enjoy the learning experience.  We’ve trained an 83 year old dentist by himself and 25 DOH doctors, nurses, EMTs and dentists at the same time.  We can also tailor our classes to what you want in a training class:  We taught an infant medical familiarization course to 20 new parents at a medica buying service.  We also teach a non-certifying class for parents that includes the Heimlich maneuver, infant and child CPR, first aid for burns, falls, insect bites, sprains, etc.  We’ve taught students on Long Island, in Dutchess, Rockland and Westchester Counties, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Our clients include:

  • Religious Institutions
  • Corporate offices and stores
  • Community centers
  • Health clubs and physical therapy offices
  • Private schools
  • Running clubs

TESTIMONIALS

We pride ourselves on motivating, interesting and fun CPR/AED training; training that makes students feel confidant about using their CPR skills.  We teach “if you see something do something™”  and instill in the students confidence as well as knowledge.  Because of their CoreCPR training, our students are not afraid to act during an emergency.

So far, eight (as of December 2013) Core CPR/AED students have been involved in coming to the aid of medical patients: one student saved the life of his daughter with the abdominal thrust, learned just days before at a Core class; another saved the life of a woman on the PATH train; and two managers from a well-known West-Side deli took their AED out to use on a sudden cardiac victim in a car outside their store.
